Using the following kinds of questions, determine your response:
Basic Information
Yes, all of the component pieces of our frames are sold separately on our Accessories website. Here are some things to remember:
Make sure you still input the dimensions of your artwork as the “Inside Width and Height” if you are ordering a “Frame Only.”
For the best fit, “Cover” and “Backing” options should be chosen in the same size as your artwork.
To function effectively, your frame will still require a “Cover” and “Backing” (whether you order them from us or already have them).
All of our frame designs have a 1/4″ overlap between their contents. In order to keep the artwork and frame components from “falling through” the frame, this holds them firmly in place. Please take this into consideration when ordering frame components separately.

Used materials :
wood, metal, clear acrylic, matting, foamcore, prints, and items that were made in India.
Wood Frame :
Our Wood type has a gorgeous wood pattern wrap and is made of Indian hardwood. With this environmentally friendly method, we are able to ship a solid, premium, naturally coloured and patterned wood frame.
We source our wood frames from India.
Metal Frame:
Extrusion is the method used to create the aluminium used in our models labelled Metal. An aluminium billet, which is essentially an aluminium log, is heated to almost a thousand degrees and then forced through a die that is formed like the style being manufactured under 750 tonnes of pressure. The newly formed aluminium is then put on a “stretcher” to get rid of any straightness flaws. The aluminium is then either anodized or powder coated, giving the material’s surface a beautiful, long-lasting, corrosion-resistant finish. These frame rails are top-notch and incredibly sturdy.
India is where our metal frames are made.
Clear Acrylic :
With many times the impact resistance and at a weight that is half that of glass, our ACRYLITE® Clear Acrylic gives the stunning clarity of the finest picture frame glazing. It also filters out some UV light. It offers the safety required in high activity locations and is the appropriate material for larger framed art. It makes the best glazing for houses, galleries, and museums.
Non-Glare Acrylic :
In addition to having all of the clarity, impact resistance, and ultraviolet protection of our Clear Acrylic, our ACRYLITE® Non-Glare Acrylic also includes a very fine matting layer that subtly diffuses light and lessens reflections.
Matting :
The ideal ornamental addition to just about any frame is our matting. Each mat is alkaline-buffered to be acid-neutral, which slows the ageing process of the mat as well as the artwork it comes into touch with. We have tens of thousands of uncut matboards in a range of colours and cores.
Acid-Free Foamcorebr>:
This is our premium backing, which is suggested for significant art or art that will be framed for a long time. The alkaline solution used as a buffer helps to counteract the acids present in most printed artwork and reduces the speed at which the damaged artwork deteriorates.
Prints :
We print with archival-grade ink on premium semi-matte paper (Photo Paper) or a premium, matted, smooth/flat paper (Art Paper) in our print lab using top-of-the-line large format printers. Because your image should be the centre of attention in your finished frame, we only utilise the highest quality materials and equipment to print your most treasured memories. We anticipate that once you see the quality of the printed versions of your submitted photos and images, you’ll keep using our services.
For our technically minded clients: we print at up to 1200×1200 DPI and maintain the highest level of accuracy with your submitted file. We never resample images or make damaging modifications to them.
Made in India
All frames are hand-made with materials from Made in India at our Derby, Connecticut facility by talented artisans.

That’s for sure! Choose an EaselMate from our Accessories page if your frame is smaller than 13″ x 19″ and you’d want it to sit on a table. As long as they don’t go beyond that size, EaselMate works on any of our wooden and metal frames.
Nope! Everything you need to hang one of our frames on the wall is included with every frame. However, you might want to take a look at our Accessories page in case a helpful accessory catches your attention. We also sell replacement parts for your existing frames there (in case you want to switch out a mat color, need replacement acrylic, etc.).
From our Accessories page, you can order every component of our frames separately. Simply place an order for a modest size of the item you want to sample (for example, a 5″ x 5″ swatch of matboard). Please be aware that even though the shipping fee may seem exorbitant for a small sample, we only charge you what it costs us to safely package and send your item (s).

Measurements
Regardless of whether you choose a frame with or without a mat, we will cut the frame so that it covers the dimensions of the artwork you supplied by 1/4 “both sides. This prevents the artwork from “falling through” the matting or, in the case of a frame without matting, causing the artwork to have white borders around it.
The best you can do is give our website artwork with a size of 1/4 if it has vital elements (like an artist signature or visually significant information) around the outer perimeter that you don’t want to cover “bigger than your art in every dimension. You would choose an art size of 10 1/4″ x 10 1/4, for instance, if your piece was 10″ by 10”.
By doing this, we can ensure that the frame we provide you only covers the artwork by 1/8″ on each side, the minimum overlap that won’t result in the artwork “dropping through” the mat opening or showing the backing behind it on at least one side.
Our metal frames can accommodate pieces of art up to 1/4″ thick. This applies to the matting as well, so if your frame has a single mat, the artwork shouldn’t be thicker than 3/16″, and if it has double matting, it shouldn’t be thicker than 1/8″. As long as your artwork doesn’t exceed this thickness, the spring clips holding it to the frame will adjust precisely.
When using one or no mats in our wood frames, artwork can be up to 1/8″ thick; when using two mats, it can be up to 1/16″.
How can I select the orientation of the frame?
We construct our frames by measuring your width from left to right and your height from top to bottom.
Our frame preview shows you exactly how your frame will appear on the wall based on the “Width” and “Height” you enter. Simply flip the “Width” and “Height” parameters if you want your frame to hang in the opposite direction from what you see in the sample.
A frame that is 24″ x 36″ would hang portrait-style, but a frame that is 36″ by 24″ would hang landscape-style.
From one edge to the other edge on each side of your piece, measure it. Left to right is the “width,” while top to bottom is the “height.” Use the proper “width” and “height” so that we can build your frame in the appropriate orientation. (Use of a standard, firm tape measure is strongly advised.)
The 1/4″ that will be covered by the frame or matboard is indicated by the yellow area. Please get in touch with us and send us a picture of any crucial information (like a signature) that is located right at the edge of your artwork so we can assist you!
Shipping
Yes, you can! Make sure to correctly enter your billing information, but enter the mailing address of anybody you want (a friend or relative). Your order can be delivered there with ease by our shipping providers. Each box comes with a packing sheet that lists the contents but does not include your payment information for the order (just like a gift receipt).
We’re sorry, but we can’t. However, if you have a deadline in mind, get in touch with us, and we’ll assist you determine whether your order can be delivered on time.
We are unable to provide expedited shipping at this time for two reasons. One is that it takes us 3 to 5 business days to craft your purchase specifically before it is dispatched, so shipping it overnight after that still wouldn’t seem like it arrived “overnight” because it would be several days later. Even with the discounts our shipping carriers give us, sending a frame overnight or 2-day is typically very expensive. Despite the fact that we don’t make any money off of shipping (it’s invoiced at our cost), it would still be charged at a significant premium by our carriers.
